New Everything in Advanced Inventory Manager (AIM)

Advanced Inventory Manager Released October 2023

AIM gets better and better with every release. In fact, in just a few weeks this update will have been superseded by even more exciting new enhancements.

Nonetheless, here’s everything we’ve done to improve AIM lately:

  • Interactive forecasting that lets use click, drag and test your way to accurate forecasts and see predicted stock out risks.
  • Support for open transactions (sales, purchases, assemblies, warehouse transfers) so that all forecasts, reorder points and recommendations consider open transactions in current stock and component levels.
  • Effortless multi-layer BOM navigation
  • The ability to hide simulated replenishments to help you plan your reordering more accurately by separating actioned replenishments and those that have only been suggested by AIM.
  • Stockout alerts for components

All-new AIM Insights Dashboard

Advanced Inventory Manager - Released July 2023

Your AIM insights dashboard has had a complete makeover so your forecasting workflows are smoother and you have better visibility over key information – including any issues. New features and changes include:

  • Search Product field to find specific products
  • AIM Activity panel to help you maintain your AIM data
  • Top Performers panel with Product Forecast links
  • Stockout Risk panel to highlight potential stock issues
  • Supplier Performance panel to identify delivery or lead days issues
  • AIM Opportunities panel to explore strategies – and even come up with your own.

AIM Product Forecast – Interval Purchases

Advanced Inventory Manager - Released July 2023

If you resupply your stock regularly – for example, every 7 or 14 days – AIM now gives you an easy way to visualise your Forecast and Stock on Hand under these conditions.

Launch Product Forecast and view the graph ‘New stock levels with Forecast & SOH graph’, and you’ll see the button ‘Interval Purchases’. Simply input your purchase interval and start date, and see how your stock levels change.

AIM Product Forecast – New Historic Performance Charts

Advanced Inventory Manager - Released May 2023

On each of your individual product forecast pages you’ll find two new charts that give you a quick and easy way to review historical sales, stock on hand and purchase data – so you can make informed decisions on your strategy.

Tip: Click the double arrow at the top of the Historic Performance panel to expand your graphs – you can then select an area to drill down into the detail.

AIM Product Forecast – New Bulk Action Cog on Demand and Forecast Table

Advanced Inventory Manager - Released May 2023

On each of your individual product forecast pages you’ll see a new action cog on your Demand and Forecast table.

It’s small and easy to miss – but it’ll save you a stack of time, since you can use it to quickly set forecast quantities for multiple months using a seasonal or linear model.

AIM Product Forecast – Daily Chart

Advanced Inventory Manager Released May 2023

This enhancement to your Product Forecast Stock on Hand chart means it displays daily figures rather than monthly ones – so you’ll see how your strategy will accommodate your forecast demand in more detail, and can spot if a stockout occurs at any point during a month.

Tip: You can select part of the chart to zoom into an area of interest, and hold the control key to scroll along the chart.

Advanced Inventory Manager – Forecasting

Advanced Inventory Manager - Released April 2023

The new forecasting feature in Advanced Inventory Manager helps you future-proof your stock levels and eliminate guesswork from your purchasing – with accurate predictions of the inventory cover you need for upcoming demand peaks.

With AIM forecasting you can generate seasonal forecasts based off prior performance – and product lifecycle trends – without the need for complicated and time-consuming  spreadsheets.

New Ways to Brand, Organise and Display your B2B Store

Modules - Released January 2024

We know that your B2B Store plays an important part in your multi-channel sales strategy, so we’ve made some improvements to the way you display your products to your customers and organise them in your settings.

Here’s everything new:

Storefront

  • You now have two more content pages to use for things like Shipping Info, Terms and Conditions, Returns or About Us.
  • You can now also add videos and images to those pages (and other content pages)
  • Your product descriptions now display over 2 lines and respect line breaks. And if you’re description is too long, we display an ellipsis and customers can hover over the product title to see the full description
  • Standing Orders now include the automatic freight rules and charges you’ve created.

Backend

  • When you’re in your Store Settings and viewing all your products you can now filter on products with no assigned category or catalogue
  • You’ll also see thumbnail images of your products (the product’s default image), the Product Group, and the Stock Available QTY

B2B Store – Free Freight for Orders Over Value Threshold

Modules - Released August 2023

B2B Store – Customisable Catalog Fields

Modules - Released August 2023

With this small change you can customise your B2B Store that little bit more, with the option to use formatting and fonts in line with your branding.

In your settings, you’ll see two fields have changed from a plain text field editor to a rich text field editor:

  • Main Title of Your Catalog
  • Catalog Page Summary

Look out for more updates in the near future to customise your store even further!

B2B Store – Customer-specific Payment Options

Modules - Released September 2022

You have more control over customer payments – and managing credit and cashflow is easier – with this update to the B2B store. You can now enforce payment at an account level – meaning no more waiting for customers to pay for their orders

To use this feature, head to store settings > payment settings, and toggle on ‘Enable payments for registered customers’. You can then specify which customers have to ‘place order and pay’ when they reach the checkout.

B2B Home Page – Display 8 Popular Categories

Modules - Released August 2022

Show off more of your popular categories and increase sales with this update to your store, which lets you display 8 popular categories on your homepage – an increase from the previous limit of 4.

B2B Store – Set Minimum Order Values

Modules - Released July 2022

You can now set minimum order values in your B2B store so customers can only place orders above a certain value, ensuring your orders are large enough to meet your freight, production or purchasing requirements.

B2B eCommerce – Page Navigation Functionality

Modules - Released June 2022

Your customers will find navigating your B2B store quicker and simpler with these updates:

  • At the bottom of each page seven page numbers are displayed that your customers can click on, rather than one – making it easier to jump across multiple pages.
  • Or your customers can use the new ‘Go to’ field on the page to move directly to a page they specify.
  • Your customers also have more options and a higher limit for the number of items displayed on each page: 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100.

B2B eCommerce – User-friendly Updates to the Request Access Form

Requesting access to your B2B store is now clearer and simpler for your customers with these two updates:

  • Your customers will now see an ‘Optional’ tag on fields that are not required.
  • The description of each field is now outside each response box, so this label doesn’t disappear as your customers enter their information.

B2B eCommerce – Barcode Search Functionality

Modules - Released May 2022

With this update you can now search for items in your B2B store by scanning or inputting a barcode number – simplifying the process of finding items in your catalogue.

If you use the B2B store for sales in a setting like a showroom or wine cellar, you can also use this barcode functionality to search for products and add them to your customer’s cart to streamline your sales process.

B2B eCommerce – Products, Request Access Form & Shipping Address Updates

Modules - Released May 2022

Several enhancements to B2B eCommerce in May make using your store easier – for both you and your customers:

  • Your B2B store now only shows those categories that have Products assigned to them, so your customers only see relevant category options.
  • Your customers’ Shipping Addresses are now ordered alphanumerically – so they can find and select their delivery details with ease.
  • The B2B Request Access form for customers now has 9 new fields – such as address and EORI number – which reduces the extra admin needed to sign new clients up to your Unleashed B2B store.

B2B eCommerce – Never Diminishing Products

Modules - Released April 2022

With this enhancement to the B2B store, your never-diminishing products will always be displayed as in stock. This means customers will see these products as available for purchase – increasing your potential sales, and reducing the manual work of responding to customer queries about stock levels and alternatives.

B2B eCommerce – Multi-Select and New Filters

Modules - Released April 2022

This time-saving update gives you more options for filtering Customers and Products in your B2B store.

You can now select and combine multiple filters – and use additional filter options like Product Status – to find what you need in one go. This is especially handy for bulk actions (e.g. ‘Make Sellable’ in Products), which can be applied to your filtered results.

Updates to B2B Menu

Modules - Released August 2021

B2B eCommerce has had a couple of menu changes to make getting to and updating your store easier. The new B2B shortcut in the main menu of Unleashed means you can now navigate directly to your store. Within your store, you’ll notice that the settings menu now appears in a more intuitive order.

Recommended By: Sophie, Sales Executive - UK

"I love the fact the B2B portal is now its own module within the core Unleashed account as it shows how many improvements we've made and will continue to add to the platform."

Products and Customers in B2B Settings

Modules - Released August 2021

Updating products and customers in your store just got a whole lot easier. Your complete inventory and customers are now automatically synced from Unleashed. This means you no longer have to push this information from Unleashed to your store. You’ll find all your products and customers listed in your store settings, and all you need to do is select the products you want to make saleable and the customers you want to invite.

Recommended By: Riley, Customer Success Consultant – UK

"This new update really helps to simplify the setup of your B2B store and will save you time and effort!"

B2B Freight

Modules Released - May 2021

B2B Premium and Premium + accounts can now set up and apply freight fees to your customers’ orders. Create rates based on geographic locations and sell price tiers, with the option to automatically apply freight taxes to all orders.

This enhancement not only automates your freight charge processes, it also improves your customers buying experience in your store with transparency on your delivery charges and immediate processing.

Recommended By: Richard, Senior Sales Executive – NZ

"Automated freight charges for online B2B orders will allow you to configure charges to be competitive and reward your loyal customers. This feature will have a phased rollout, so expect additional enhancements over time to allow for more advanced calculations for freight."

Promote products in B2B emails

Modules - Released April 2021

We’ve created a new way for you to promote your products. B2B Premium and Premium Plus accounts now have the option to add a promotional footer featuring up to five products in selected customer emails.

This will allow you to highlight products and encourage further sales.

Recommended By: Vandana, Customer engagement Team Lead, AU

"This is a great feature for our customers who are constantly working on new products or enhancing the existing ones. Make, promote, sell, repeat!"

Manage B2B non-delivery dates

Modules - Released March 2021

This enhancement to all B2B Stores (Basic and Premium accounts) enables you to specify delivery and non-delivery days. You can also set non-delivery periods — great for when you’re closed over holidays.

This gives your customers clarity on delivery availability, preventing them from selecting unavailable delivery dates, and managing their lead time expectations.

Recommended By: Heather, Customer Engagement Consultant  – UK

"This is a really exciting feature — you’ll be able to communicate your delivery schedule’s availability directly with your customers, giving them peace of mind from the get-go. You’ll no longer need to spend time re-negotiating delivery dates after the order’s been created and you can proactively plan for your busier delivery periods by blocking dates off or adding more in."

Display estimated stock arrival date in B2B eCommerce Store

Modules - Released November 2020

B2B Premium and Premium+ accounts now have the option to display the estimated date of arrival of out-of-stock products. This will give your customers more certainty when wanting to pre-order out-of-stock items.

Recommended by: Kevin, Customer Engagement Consultant - UK

"Your customers will be able to better factor in the estimated lead times for out of stock products. This could retain some sales that might have otherwise been lost because of the unknown lead time."

Display stock levels in B2B Store

Modules - Released November 2020

Choose to display your stock availability in your B2B Store. If you’re a Premium or Premium Plus customer with multiple warehouses, you can also further display stock levels across your warehouses.

Recommended By: Kevin, Customer Engagement Consultant - NZ

"Your customers can view stock availability in multiple warehouses more efficiently, which simplifies their ordering process — especially for multinational warehouses."

  • Credit Notes

API: May–June Updates

  • Products

For all the details, head to the Unleashed API Change Log. We suggest you get in touch with your third-party provider to find out if these changes affect your custom integration.

API: Supplier information fields

Custom Integrations - Purchases and Suppliers - Released February 2022

This API update means you can access more supplier information through your third-party integration, without logging in to Unleashed. You’ll be able to make informed decisions on suppliers based on the new fields available:

  • Address
  • Obsolete / active status
  • Lead time
  • Supplier’s tax rate

You can also use the ‘Modified since’ filter to extract only the relevant data.

API: Stock Level Alerts for Individual Warehouses

Custom Integrations - Stock Management - Released December 2021

With this update, you can now receive stock alerts via the API for each of your warehouses, rather than an overall stock level for all of your warehouses.

With alerts for minimum and maximum stock in each of your warehouses, you’ll have a clearer view of what products you have and where – and what you need to reorder, transfer or sell.

You’ll find this useful if you communicate warehouse stock information via the API – for instance, if you’re using reporting or reordering software.

ICC Fields in Shipments API

Custom Integrations - Sales and Customers - Released September 2021

If you ship internationally, you’ll see that International Commerce Code (ICC) fields are now available on your Shipments API endpoint. External shipping integrations can now pick up ICC data such as commodity codes and EORI numbers electronically – making your workflows more streamlined.

Recommended By: Alan, Customer Experience Lead - UK

"Having the ability to specify ICC fields in shipments via our API is fantastic as this will speed up transactions to fulfil your global needs at a minimum effort – the integration will do the hard work for you."

Get sales custom statuses – API

Custom Integrations Sales and Customers Released August 2021

This API enhancement will give you better visibility of your sales orders. Push all custom sales statuses through to your sales order endpoint and get better visibility of your statuses in your applications that you choose to connect.

Recommended By: Richard, Senior Sales Executive - AU

"This is particularly useful for third party logistics (3PL) applications that include triggers based off your sales stages."

Create and Update Assemblies – API

Recommended By: Nick, Sales Team Lead - AU

"API add-ons such as this aid integration robustness and can ease workflows."

API includes “Assemble By” Date

Custom Integrations - Production - Released June 2021

We’ve also updated the Assemblies API to include the date field ‘Assemble By’. This means a greater ability to plan and schedule production when you use Unleashed.

Recommended By: Emiliano, CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT – NZ

"This API is particularly useful if you need to retrieve the list of all contacts in a customer record so that you can use this to fit your processes outside of Unleashed"

API: Customer Contacts for Sales Orders

Custom Integrations - Sales and Customers - Released December 2021

If you use the API for sales order information, you can now include delivery details with each sales order – in other words, you can send through the relevant contact details for each order via the API.

This means accurate delivery information is pulled through without manual data entry, to ensure you send the right order to the right contact.

API: Warehouse Stock Transfer – New Filter “Modified Since”

Custom Integrations - Stock Management - Released December 2021

API users can now use the filter “Modified Since” to retrieve warehouse stock transfers edited or created after the date you’ve specified.

This means you can access the latest and most relevant data on your transfers – making it quicker and easier to locate the information you need.

You’ll find this enhancement helpful if you use the API to send warehousing data to third party software – for example, your logistics provider.

Retrieve customer contacts – API

Custom Integrations - Sales and Customers - Released May 2021

We’ve created a new API so that you can automate creating retrieving and sharing customer data between Unleashed and the Customer endpoint. This API is particularly useful if you need to retrieve a list of all contacts in a customer record for use outside of Unleashed

Recommended By: Ivan, AGILE DELIVERY LEAD – NZ

"This API is particularly useful if you need to retrieve the list of all contacts in a customer record so that you can use this to fit your processes outside of Unleashed."

Recommended By: Nick, Sales Executive - AU

"This feature is an absolute ‘must have’ for any custom integrations to Unleashed, particularly for any 3rd party sales channels. Your developer will now have the capacity to establish a Credit/Return workflow within the custom connection which will streamline your Credit process immensely."
