The Problem
Like any growing company, Jayne’s team is quite lean. In fact, she does everything herself.
From designing the prints, to sourcing products and manufacturers in China, through to wholesaling her range to local “big-box” format stores, it’s fair to say that Jayne doesn’t have much spare time.
Feature has grown rapidly since its’ inception, and at last count Jayne’s inventory was upwards of 70,000 items. There are two distinct parts to the business, as Jayne produces both plant support, and printed garden accessories that include boots, kneelers and tools.
With three warehouses to manage, and a drive to grow the business, Jayne also spends a lot of time out of the office visiting customers in New Zealand. With so many tasks to manage, Jayne began searching for products that would save her time and make her business easier to manage, and at the top of the list was an inventory management system that would integrate with Xero.
The Solution
Jayne couldn’t be happier with how Unleashed is supporting her as she grows her business.
It integrates with her accounting system (Xero), allows her to easily track and manage inventory across multiple warehouses, and lets her do this from anywhere in the world. Jayne recently returned from Amsterdam where she processed customer orders remotely, and was thrilled that even when she was out of the office (and the country), she could still run her business.
Jayne also heads away to the family holiday home every couple of weeks, so being able to manage her inventory from the beach is another reason she loves Unleashed.
The Result
Unleashed’s flexibility and ease-of use has saved Jayne a lot of time, freed her up to focus on getting product into stores and developing new products.
