Unethical price increases [2 stars]

“13% fee increase this year, 14% last year, 13% the year before that. No explanation and no discernible improvement in the offering. Overall I'm happy with the product but this kind of price gouging is not acceptable. I will certainly be looking for alternatives.”

“We left CIN7 for DEAR around 4 years ago and it was the best decision we ever made. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant surprise when CIN7 purchased DEAR. After 6 months, they doubled the cost of the platform and justified it with all these new features (zero of which applied to our needs). We had no issues with DEAR and now we are facing critical bugs frequently. In the past few weeks I have set up 4 support calls (all close to midnight in my timezone because their support is internationally based) and they haven't resolved one issue. They continue to pass on complex solutions for me to do myself, which has taken me hours and hours, and nothing has been resolved.”

Theoretically a good service [2 stars]

“Theoretically a good service, except it breaks frequently. Randomly it won't push inventory to Shopify or Amazon. Most frustrating of all is the "customer service"... it takes 36 or more hours to hear back... if they reply to a ticket. A couple years ago they had live chat, but took that away. The last problem is the onboarding process. It is about a 3 hour process, but they drag it into a 4 week ordeal (one call per week), so that you're so time invested in the process that backing out is too much hassle. And they charge you the $500+ monthly fee for that month too.”

Have all of our operations and accounting processes streamlined has made the day-to-day operations of our business a lot easier to manage. Cin7 has also streamlined our daily work flow and reduced the number of touch points for collecting sales. The training support we received was also excellent."

Comments: Run away - please do yourself the favour. It looks great from the outside, which is why we chose it. Spend a bit more money and invest in a good product
Pros: Cin7 Promises to do all the things you need
Cons: Cin7 has bugs throughout the system and the support is non existent to the point you simply cannot run a business using this software. We have had an inventory value difference of $80k that cannot be explained or fixed for over 12 months with zero support.
Alternatives Considered: MYOB Advanced Manufacturing, NetSuite and SAP Business One

Comments: Horrible. There customer support was weak originally, now it is non existent. There used to be phone support that they have now removed, an email support ticket system that no one responds to and a live chat that is always unavailable.
Pros: System is full of bugs and customer support is not existent. Avoid Cin7 at all costs!
Cons: Customer support and their management of SOH levels.

“I researched over 50 different MES software packages looking for the right one and I believed I chose a software provided that could do what I needed. I WAS WRONG! We have been using Cin7 for almost 3 years and have hated every minute. There is a reason that they will not allow trials of their software and they insist to take you through a demo. This is because they can show the parts that work and you cannot find out how dismal the software really is. Sales staff are very easy to contact. The Support is terrible…. TERRIBLE SOFTWARE - STAY RIGHT AWAY.”

“If you like being gaslit and lied to by a technical support team, this is the product for you. I logged a support ticket for a mapping and duplication issue between Salesforce and Cin7. For literally 3 weeks, their support team lied to me about hearing from a support technician, ignored emails and then, after 3 weeks, finally replied and asked whether I was using Salesforce lightning or classic. Lightning is the absolute standard, and either way, is irrelevant as an API connection has no dependency on the UI. truly the worst customer experience I've received in nearly 20 years of managing systems and technology. Avoid as hard as you can.”

“Well Cin7 asked for a review, my guess is that they may stop asking based on the rating they have here. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this platform to any e-commerce business that has a multi-channel distribution (which they claim to support). We have been in business for 10 years on ecomm and I can say this is the WORST investment of time, energy, and money I have ever made.”

What do you like best about Cin7 Omni? Options and features available on the platform, just dont all work
What do you dislike about Cin7 Omni? Integrating with Cin7 has cost my team hours of extra time we never get back. The system breaks often, stops syncing to major platforms, has long delays when putting or using data, and erases CRM files all the time.
What problems is Cin7 Omni solving and how is that benefiting you? They solve having everything in one place - but does not make any of the features "easy" - I am convinced this platform is made by people that have never actually worked in ecomm or retail in their life

What are the themes in Cin7’s reviews?

Taking a balanced view of Cin7 Omni’s reviews, it seems clear that something serious is happening at the company. Trawling through reviews from four-five years ago there are many glowing testimonials and 5-star ratings from happy users.

However in the last 12 months it's hard to find users with positive things to say. Reviews of 1 and 2-stars are common and an almost universal theme is very strong dissatisfaction with customer support.

Why is this happening?

Without an inside view on the company it’s impossible to know exactly why Cin7 has been the subject of such negative feedback recently.

Software as a Service is a high growth field and it's possible that for a time Cin7's ability to sell its product outstripped its ability to onboard and support its new customers.
